Secretary General of the Turkic Council HE Halil Akinci, accompanied by Deputy Secretary General Mr. Darkhan Kydyrali and Project Manager Mr. Assan Mazhitov, participated in the 3rd meeting of the representatives of the National Commissions and Committees for UNESCO of TURKSOY Member States held on 13-14 September, 2012 in Astana.
The meeting coincided with the year of Astana holding the status of the cultural capital of the Turkic world and was instrumental in enhancing cooperation between the National Commissions of TURKSOY Member States in all areas of UNESCO activities.
The meeting has highlighted the organizational effectiveness of the Turkic Council and TURKSOY as less than in a month’s time a lot of work was done towards the implementation of the instructions set forth in the Declaration of the 2nd Summit of Turkic Council signed by Heads of States on 23 August 2012 in Bishkek.
