Secretary General met with Deputy Chief of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan
Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreyev had a meeting with Deputy Chief of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Special Coordinator of Foreign Policy Erzhan Kazykhan on 31 January 2022 in Nur-Sultan.
During the meeting, Secretary General and Deputy Chief exchanged views on the current state of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and the ongoing joint efforts in light of the decisions of the 8th Summit, which took place on 12 November 2021 in Istanbul.
Secretary General Amreyev express his appreciation for the significant role of the Republic of Kazakhstan in strengthening relations between the fraternal Turkic peoples and the institutional potential of the Organization of Turkic States. 
Erzhan Kazykhan expressed gratitude to Secretary General Amreyev for his visit and detailed information about the activities of the Organization. He also underlined the importance of strengthening collaboration in economy and trade, effective utilization of the joint economic and transit transport potential of the Member and Observer States.
Touching upon the ways of realization of valuable initiatives proposed by the President of Kazakhstan H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Istanbul Summit, parties also discussed the establishment of a special economic zone in Turkistan. They expressed conviction that this initiative will further increase the trade and investment cooperation among the Member States.
During the meeting, B.Amreyev and E. Kazykhan also discussed a number of current pressing international and regional issues.
