Secretary General of the Turkic Council, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Aziz Abdukhakimov in the framework of the 6th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Tourism of the Turkic Council, convened on 24 June 2021 in Kokand, Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Secretary General and Deputy Prime Minister exchanged views on the ongoing cooperation in the field of tourism and sport among Turkic states and ways to increase joint actions in these fields further. 

Emphasizing the successful organization of the Ministerial meeting, Parties agreed to closely cooperate in due implementing the projects that are on the current agenda, notably “Turkic World Tourism Capital”, “Tabarruk Ziyorat”, and “Tourism Map of the Turkic World”.

Secretary General Amreyev and Deputy Prime Minister Abdukhakimov highlighted that announcing Kokand as the first “Turkic World Tourism Capital” and holding international conferences and various events on this occasion would contribute to promoting the tourism potential of not only the city but also the whole Turkic World.
