On 23 January 2023, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Adham Ikramov. 

Minister Ikramov informed the Secretary General about the new reforms in the youth policy carried out by the Government of Uzbekistan and emphasized that Turkic region has a huge potential for the development of sports and youth cooperation. 

The Secretary General stressed that the field of youth and sports is one of the priority areas of multilateral cooperation and informed about important meetings, joint programs and events that will be organized under the OTS umbrella. 

Noting the wide experience and successful policy of Uzbekistan in the field of youth and sports, Ambassador Omuraliev underlined the importance of active engagement of the Member States in the implementation of the planned events and programs for 2023.
