The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, received the newly appointed Consul General of the United States of America, Mr. Jonathan Henick, who paid a courtesy visit to the OTS Headquarters in Istanbul on 6 August 2022.
Having welcomed the senior U.S. envoy, the Secretary General highlighted the strategic relations between the Turkic countries and the United States and stated that the Organization is deeply interested in establishing mutually beneficial partnership ties with the U.S. in various areas.
Mr. J.Henick praised the achievements made by the Organization during the recent period. He expressed the willingness of the U.S. State Department to contribute to the deepening of the cooperation in the Turkic World as well as establishing constructive collaboration between the USA and the OTS.
In this regard, parties discussed cooperation opportunities between the OTS and the USA in concrete areas.
Secretary General and Consul General also exchanged views on several pressing topics of the regional and global agendas.
