Ministers of foreign affairs and Delegations of the 57 OSCE Participating States and 11 Partners for Co-operation as well as representatives of international organizations attended the Ministerial Council meeting where the multiple crises across the OSCE regions and effective multilateralism were at the forefront of the issues highlighted by the Ministers.
In the opening of the 28th Ministerial Council, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Sweden´s Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde underlined that rebuilding trust and joint efforts are needed to respond to the multiple crises across the region.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov respectively addressed the audience regarding the OSCE agenda.
Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, in his capacity representing the current Chairman-in-Office of the Organization of Turkic States, also underlined that the active participation of the Organization of Turkic States as a regional organization for comprehensive cooperation in the work of the OSCE will contribute to the attainment of the common goals shared by the two organizations.
On the sidelines of the Ministerial Council, Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev had meetings with the Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev and Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov.
The Secretary General and the Ministers discussed the outcomes of the Istanbul Summit of the Organization of Turkic States held on 12 November 2021 and exchanged views on further actions for realization of decisions taken by the Heads of State during the Summit.
