In the framework of his working visit to Brussels, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev held a meeting with Mr. Ryszard Czarnecki, Member of the European Parliament (MEP), on 3 July 2023. This meeting served as a follow-up to the previous encounter of the Parties held on 11 January 2023 in Istanbul, where they had reached various agreements and identified possible avenues of cooperation.
Secretary General Omuraliev and MEP Czarnecki engaged in fruitful discussions on the steps taken since their last meeting and explored opportunities to further strengthen ties between the OTS and the European Parliament. They exchanged views on enhancing mutual dialogue and identified upcoming occasions where the OTS and the European Parliament could collaborate to promote shared interests and goals. 
The Secretary General expressed his gratitude for the continued support and engagement of Mr. Ryszard Czarnecki, They discussed the potential for joint initiatives and activities that would contribute to advancing mutual understanding and cooperation between the OTS and the European Parliament. 
The Parties agreed to work towards building a solid foundation for collaboration, based on shared values and interests and to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two organizations through friendship groups.
