H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) met with H.E. Azamat Jamankulov, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the margins of the 4 th World Nomad Games and 6th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Youth and Sports of the OTS which was convened on 30 September 2022 in Bursa, Türkiye.

The Secretary General praised Kyrgyzstan's crucial role in promoting the vibrant cultural and historical heritage of the Turkic World and its contribution to the ongoing multifaceted cooperation in the framework of OTS

B. Amreyev also noted the importance of institutionalization and boosting the popularity of the World Nomad Games in the world. 

Parties discussed the latest decision of 6th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Youth and Sports of the Organization to stage the 5th WNG in Kazakhstan in 2024, as well as the decision to create an independent intergovernmental institution responsible for the sports agenda that will be based in the Kyrgyz Republic under the umbrella of the OTS.

Minister A.Jamanbaev highlighted the need for a greater cooperation in culture, sports and youth in the Turkic World and expressed his gratitude to Secretariat for its great contribution in deepening the Turkic partnership in these fields.

B Amreyev and A.Jamankulov had also discussions on wide range of topics of the Turkic cooperation focusing on the agenda of the cooperation in the field of culture, youth and sports, as well as the joint events planned for 2022-2023.
