The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev received the Chief Executive Officer of International Transporters Association (UND) Mr. Alper Özel on 14 November 2023 at the OTS Headquarters in Istanbul.

During the meeting, the two parties engaged in a comprehensive discussion regarding the challenges and opportunities faced by the private sector in the field of transportation. They also exchanged insights on ways to improve regional transport connectivity and streamline transport and transit procedures, with a specific focus on the regional transport corridors that traverse the territories of OTS Member States.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to conducting effective and results-oriented work within the framework of the OTS. They emphasized the importance of concentrating efforts on tangible projects with practical outcomes aimed at implementing the instructions of the Heads of State and the provisions outlined in the Action Plan for the Transport Connectivity Program, which was adopted during the recent Astana Summit.
