Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ankara, H.E. Danny Annan at the premises of the Secretariat in Istanbul on 11 April 2022.

Danish Ambassador expressed a growing interest of Denmark and the European Union in the Turkic World as well as in the activities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). 

Secretary General shared with the Ambassador the current agenda of the Organization and ongoing cooperation among the Member and Observer States within the framework of the OTS in different fields, particularly in economy, trade and transport as well as the future plans and perspectives of the Organization.

B.Amreyev and D.Annan exchanged views on possibility of a partnership between the OTS and Denmark and the members of the Nordic Council states as well as the European Union. 

Underlining the significance of  OTS European Office in Budapest, the Secretary General and the Ambassador noted the importance of utilizing the Office for fostering the collaboration in several areas.

The Secretary General and the Ambassador also exchanged views on recent political and security developments in the region and in the world. 

The Consul General of Denmark in Istanbul Thierry Levert Hoppe and Project Director at the Secretariat Ozge Pan were also present at the meeting.
