The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev addressed the 12th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States chaired by the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye H.E. Mr Mustafa Şentop and attended by Speakers of Parliaments of the TURKPA Member and Observer States.
Heads of Turkic cooperation organizations as well as other international and interparliamentary organizations took part in the session held on 28 April 2023 in Ankara.
Within his speech Ambassador Omuraliev noted that despite the tense geopolitical circumstances around our countries favorable conditions for strengthening the fraternal Turkic cooperation in all vital spheres persist. In that regard he expressed his confidence in that strengthening the cooperation by promoting solid contacts with parliamentary friendship groups of other regions as well as promoting people-to-people contacts would be of a great appreciation.
Considering the importance of strengthening the Turkic Unity, the Secretary General noted the significance of entering into force of the multilateral agreements signed during the recent OTS summits.
