Mr. Altynbek Mamaiusupov congratulated Secretary General Amreyev with his appointment to the position of the Turkic Council`s Secretary General and wished him success in his new post. He also underlined the important role of the parliamentary dimension of the cooperation among the member States of the Turkic Council in promoting mutual friendship between the peoples in the region and beyond.
Secretary General Mamaiusupov gave brief information about the activities of TURKPA and stated that this institution is coordinating its activities with the Turkic Council.
Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev thanked Mr. Mamaiusupov for his kind visit. He highlighted the importance of ensuring efficient coordination and further development of Turkic integration and increasing efficiency of the Turkic Cooperation Organizations’s activities in order to strengthen cooperation in the Turkic world in accordance with the decisions of the Heads of State taken during the last Summit of Turkic Council in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan. In this context, Secretary General Amreyev emphasized the importance of structural improvement of the existing Turkic cooperation institutions. The Parties exchanged views on this matter.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Amreyev and Secretary General Mamaiusupov presented each other a plaque in memory of the visit.
Turkic Council’s Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman and Project Director Mr.Ceyhun Şahverdiyev, as well as Mr. Anar Rahimov, Head of legal expertise, public relations and protocol section of TURKPA Secretariat attended the meeting.
