Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov and the accompanying delegation attended opening ceremony of the 2nd Ethnosport Culture Festival on 11 May 2017 which was honored by the participation of H.E. Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, organized by the World Ethnosport Confederation to revive traditional turkic sports.
The main objective of the Etnospor Culture Festival, which will last until May 14, 2017 and is being organized fort he second time this year, is to revitalize traditional Turkic ancestral sports and cultural values that have been lost and to meet with them the society. The festival, which is held at the Yenikapi event area in Istanbul, will include traditional Turkic sports such as horse javelin, equestrian archery, rootboy, mas and oil wrestling, as well as activities for children and young people.
Following the opening program that started with Oba visit, Secretary General Hasanov met with President of the World Etnospor Confederation, Bilal Erdoğan and other officials.
During the ceremony, Secretary General Hasanov was accompanied by the Turkic Council Project Director Ali Çiviler and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul.
