Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov attended the `Sport Integrity Global Alliance` (SIGA) General Assembly organized by the International Center for Sports Safety (ICSS).
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov took part in the `Sport Integrity Global Alliance` (SIGA) General Assembly organized by the International Center for Sports Safety (ICSS) on 31 January 2017 in London.

Over 70 countries and international organizations discussed the founding documents of SIGA and future projections during the General Assembly, which was also attended by high-level officials coming from all over the world such as Sports Ministers of Spain and Greece and McCain Institute representative Cindy McCain.

The founding document of SIGA, established with the primary purpose of increasing the unifying force of sport, protection of integrity and ethics code in sport, ensuring equal opportunities and prevention of corruption, was signed at the end of the General Assembly. Turkic Council became one of the founding members of SIGA after Secretary General Hasanov signed on the founding document.

Before the meeting and after it, Secretary General Hasanov also held several bilateral meetings, notably with ICSS President Mohammed Hanzab and SIGA General Coordinator Emanuel Medeiros. During the contacts, he informed his counterparts about the activities carried out by the Turkic Council in the field of youth and sports and made evaluations regarding the prospective steps to be taken within the scope of SIGA.

Project Director Ali Çiviler and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied Secretary General Hasanov at the meeting and during the bilateral talks.
