Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ankara Yun-soo Cho at the Istanbul Çırağan Palace on 27 August 2016.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the projects of the Turkic Council and the Republic of Korea in the fields of transport, tourism, sustainable development, sports and youth that can be developed in the future.
After giving information to Ambassador Cho about the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package project of the Turkic Council, Ambassador Hasanov invited the Korean Ambassador to the international conference entitled "The Role of Youth in Countering Violent Extremism” to be organized jointly by the Turkic Council and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations between 20-21 October 2016 in Istanbul.
Ambassador Hasanov also briefed Ambassador Cho on the deepening relations of the Turkic Council with the UN Development Programme, as well as relations with other relevant organizations working under the aegis of the UN.
Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied the Secretary General Hasanov at the said meeting.
