Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, who is in Baku for the First Meeting of the Turkic Council Ministers in charge of Information and Communication Technologies, participated in the opening ceremony of the 22nd Bakutel International Exhibition and Conference on 29 November 2016 at the Baku Expo Center.
Hosted by Mr. Ramin Quluzade, Minister of Information and Communication Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Secretary General Hasanov visited the stands in the exhibition area and got information about the products from the participating countries together with the ITU Secretary General Houlin Zhao, Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communications of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Information Technologies and Communication of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sharshembiev, Minister of Communication and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Nikolay Nikiforov, Minister of Communication and Informatics of Belarus Sergei Popkov, Minister of Information and Communication Technologies of Iran Mahmod Vaezi as well as other guests. Secretary General Hasanov also gave an interview to Azerbaijan Television.
The international exhibition is attended by 220 companies from 21 different countries to present their activities in different fields such as e-government, communication, cyber security and satellite and aerospace technology.
Secretary General Hasanov was accompanied by Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul during the opening ceremony of the Exhibition.
