Turkic Council Delegation headed by the Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated in the opening ceremony of the 2nd World Nomad Games which is organized upon the decision taken at the 5th Summit of Heads of States of the Turkic Council and hosted by the Kyrgyz Republic between 3-8 September 2016 in Cholpan-Ata.
The program began with an official reception given by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Almazbek Atambayev in honor of the high level guests including Heads of States and Government as well as the Representatives of International Organizations on 3 September 2016 in Cholpan-Ata and continued with the official opening ceremony in the Hippodrome where the games will be staged.
The opening ceremony, which hosted a visual feast that included elements of our common history and culture performed by the young people, was held with intense participation of the Kyrgyz people.
The games will be held at four different centers in Cholpan-Ata with the participation of about 1750 athletes from 62 countries until the Closing Ceremony on 8 September 2016.
The Culture Festival related to the Nomad Games will be hosted by H.E. Almazbek Atambaev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic at Kyrchyn Plateau on 4 September 2016. The Festival where the traditional nomadic life will be presented with all its aspects as well as various stage shows will be performed, will be participated by the high level guests, Heads of States and Governments as well as representatives of international organizations.
Within the framework of the Opening Ceremony, Secretary General Hasanov held various bilateral meetings with his counterparts, inluding Steven Seagal, the Official Goodwill Ambassador of Second World Nomad Games.
Secretary General Hasanov participated in the Opening Ceremony with the Turkic Council Delegation comprising Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Directors Zamin Aliyev, Ali Çiviler, Yıldız Uzakova, Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul and Research Expert Dastan Almen.
