The Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated in the opening ceremony of the Summit Meeting of Global Forum on Migration and Development organized on 14 October 2015 in Istanbul.
Welcoming speech of the Summit was made by Feridun Sinirlioglu Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the opening speech by Ahmet Davutoglu, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey. The meeting which is hosted by Turkey will last three days. High level delegates from 150 countries and representatives from governments, international organizations and civil society as well as other high level officials, including UN High Commissioner for Refugees, EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, UN Alliance of Civilizations High Representative, Ministers and Vice Ministers from all regions of the world attended the 8th GFMD Summit.
Taking this opportunity Secretary General Hasanov made various bilateral contacts and held meetings with the participants of the Summit.
Deputy Secretary General Abzal Saparbekuly, Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General.
