On the occasion of FITUR 2016, upon the invitation of Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN WTO) Mr. Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated in the opening reception of UNWTO 2016 co-organized by UNWTO and FITUR where relevant Ministers of Spain and Secretary General of UNWTO addressed the audience.
At the reception, Secretary General Hasanov had a bilateral meeting with Secretary General Rifai and discussed the modalities of future projects to be jointly convened by the two organizations in order to promote Silk Road tourism. Both Secretary General pledged to take necessary steps to continue the existing fruitful cooperation between the two organizations. During the reception, Ambassador Ramil Hasanov had also bilateral meeting with leading figures in the development of tourism sector worldwide.
