Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated in the `Sports Integrity Global Alliance` (SIGA) roundtable meeting organized by International Center for Sports Security (ICSS) and the Ministry of Sport of Spain on 7 April 2016 in Madrid at the building of Museo del Prado-Casom del Buen Retiro.
During the roundtable meeting which was hosted by Mr. Miguel Cardenal, Secretary of Sport of Spain and Mr. Mohammed Hanzab, President of ICSS, 64 international organizations including different language groups representations accepted the basic principles of SIGA and emphasized the unifying power of sport in the world, underlined the importance of the equality of opportunity in sports activities and prevention of corruption as well as exchanged views on the next steps to be taken.
Secretary General Hasanov took the floor at the meeting and said that Turkic Council acts in accordance with the same values in all its activities and emphasized that it is also supported by the recent developments in the world.
Secretary General Hasanov held bilateral meetings before and after the roundtable meeting including Mr. Miguel Cardenal, Secretary of Sport of Spain and gave information to his counterparts regarding the activities carried out by the Turkic Council in the field of youth and sports.
At the end of the meeting a `Certificate of Intent` was opened for signature of the participants and Secretary General Hasanov confirmed the issues raised in his speech by signing the Certificate of Intent.
Turkic Council Project Director Ali Çiviler and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General during the meeting and bilateral talks.
