Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov presented ‘Turkic World Distinguished Service Medal’ to Mr. Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Turkey.

The Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated in the presentation ceremony of "Distinguished Service Medal" conferred by the Union of Architects and Engineers of Turkic World and presented it to Mr. Binali Yıldırım Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Turkey.
 
In his address Secretary General Hasanov mentioned the close relations between the Turkic Council and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Turkey, expressed his gratitude for the contributions of the Minister Binali Yıldırım for the effors carried out on the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and stated that the Minister signed important mega projects such as Marmaray, the Eurasia Tunnel Project, Triple Tube Crossing Project, 3rd Bosphorus Bridge (Yavuz Sultan Selim bridge), Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project and third airport in Istanbul with the capacity of 150 million passengers, which have historical value and will combine the Turkic Council member countries with stronger ties in the future.
 
Furthermore, Secretary General Hasanov referred and highlighted the importance of the ‘7th Turkic World Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism Congress‘ to be organized by the Union of Architects and Engineers of Turkic World in Baku in October this year which will be devoted to the theme of ‘Transport and Energy Mega Projects crossing the continents and wished success to the Congress.
 
Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Director Ali Çiviler and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General during the ceremony.
