Within the framework of his official visit to Astana, the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov visited Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov on 1 June 2016 in his office.

Secretary General Hasanov conveyed his thanks to Minister Idrissov for hosting the Turkic Council Junior Diplomats 3rd Training Programme as well as provided information about the preparations carried out by the Turkic Council regarding the upcoming 6th Summit of the Heads of States of the Turkic Council. Secretary General Hasanov continued by sharing detailed information with Minister Idrissov on the activities of the Turkic Council, particularly its relations with other international organizations, the cooperation agreements signed in the framework of international cooperation, activities and projects successfully carried out in the fields of transport, education, youth and sports and about the steps to be taken in the coming period.

Minister Idrissov thanked to the Secretary General Hasanov for the information he provided and indicated that they follow the successful work of the Turkic Council. He also expressed his pleasure to host the Turkic Council Junior Diplomats 3rd Training Programme. As holding the current Chairmanship-in-Office of the Turkic Council, Minister Idrissov underlined that Kazakhstan will continue to give every support to the Turkic Council and its activities and referred to the words of H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev and stated the importance of joint work and cooperation in overcoming the potential problems. 

Project Director of the Turkic Council Assan Mazhitov and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General Hasanov at the meeting. Secretary General Hasanov presented to the Minister Idrissov the 2015 Activity Report of the Turkic Council at the end of the meeting.
