In the context of his official contacts in Astana, the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov visited the newly established Ministry of Information and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev on 1 June 2016.
Secretary General Hasanov congratulated Minister Abayev on his new appointment and gave general information about the activities of the Turkic Council. Secretary General Hasanov also provided detailed information about activities carried out in the field of information technology and communication, which is was one the important fields of cooperation of the Turkic Council. Finally Secretary General Hasanov expressed his ideas regarding the 1st Meeting of Ministers of Information Technology and Communication of the Turkic Council which is planned to take place in Baku.
Minister Abayev expressed his gratitude for the visit of Secretary General Hasanov, indicated that they follow successful activities of the Turkic Council and stated that they will continue cooperation with the Turkic Council in all fields within the scope of the Ministry as well as provide all the support needed in the activities.
Furthermore, parties exchanged views regarding the International Turkic Channel due to be established in the future.
Secretary General Hasanov presented a gift to Minister Abayev for the memory of his visit.
Project Director of the Turkic Council, Assan Mazhitov and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General Hasanov at the meeting.
