Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov visited Mr. Erol Ayyıldız, Governor of İzmir on 22 July 2016 in his office.

Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov visited Mr. Erol Ayyıldız, Governor of İzmir on 22 July 2016 in his office.
Secretary General Hasanov gave information regarding the structure of the Turkic Council, stages it has undergone since establishment, projects and activities it carries out especially in the fields of economy, transport, tourism and etc during the meeting. Secretary General also indicated that İzmir which is the third biggest city of Turkic Council’s host country Turkey and Baku, capital of Azerbaijan are sister cities and stated that they give great importance to such connections and support them for the development of relations and cooperation among the member countries.

Secretary General Hasanov also expressed his sorrow for the events happened recently in Turkey, reiterated the support of the Turkic Council, as an international organization linked to fundamental rights and freedoms and the rule of law, to the elected democratic government of Turkey and wished God’s mercy to those who lost their lives, patience to their relatives and speedy recovery to the wounded ones.

Governor Ayyıldız expressed his gratitude for the kind visit, information provided and sensitive attitude of Secretary General Hasanov to the events occured. Governor Ayyıldız also said that they will be pleased to support the successful activities of the Turkic Council.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov and Governor Ayyıldız exchanged gifts in memory of this day.

Mr. Araz Salmanov, Deputy Director of Administrative Affairs of the Turkic Council accompanied to Secretary General Hasanov during the meeting.
