Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov visited Yerzhan Kazykhanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Washington DC.

Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov visited Yerzhan Kazykhanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Washington DC.
Within the framework of his visits in Washington DC, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, paid a visit to Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Washington DC Yerzhan Kazykhanov on 27 September 2017.

Secretary General Hasanov conveyed detailed information to Ambassador Kazykhanov about the activities of the Turkic Council, particularly the cooperation with the UN bodies such as UNDP, UNOSSC, UNAOC and Turkic Council’s observer status bid in the UN General Assembly.

Ambassador Kazykhanov underlined that President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev closely supports and gives high importance to the activities of the Turkic Council.

Furthermore, Ambassador Kazykhanov noted the significance of Trans-Caspian transport route for the Turkic Council countries and the region.
In addition, he underlined that Kazakhstan attaches high importance to the development of information and communication technologies, as well as supporting the conflict resolution and mediation processes.

Secretary General also expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador Kazykhanov for Kazakhstan’s continuous support to the work of Turkic Council during its Chairmanship.

Project Directors Assan Mazhitov, Ali Çiviler and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied Secretary General Hasanov during the meeting.
