Secretary General of the Turkic Council attended the opening ceremony of the monument for Chingiz Aitmatov.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev attended the opening ceremony of the monument dedicated to the great Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov on the 91st anniversary of his birthday on December 12, 2019 in Ankara. 

The opening ceremony took place in the park named after Chingiz Aitmatov. 

Advisor to the President of the Republic of Turkey Yalçın Topçu, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Ankara Kubanychbek Omuraliev and Mayor of Kecioren District of Ankara Turgut Altinok underlined in their speeches that Chingiz Aitmatov is one of the greatest writers, and was a valuable artist and a prominent philosopher. He introduced new approaches in literature and brought unique perspectives into the way of thinking about society. He also reflected high spiritual values on shaping human personality in his works that are still widely read and appreciated.

Representatives of the corps diplomatique in Ankara including Ambassadors of Kazakhstan Abzal Saparbekuly, Ukraine Andrii Sybiha, Belarus Victor Rybak, and Tajikistan Rajabiyon Mahmadali Davlatsho attended the event, as well as prominent artists and public figures in Turkey.
