Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev held a meeting with the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Zhanat Beyshenov on 28 November 2019 in Bishkek.
Secretary General stated that the cooperation between the Turkic Council and Kyrgyz Republic has gained a new momentum in every sphere during the successful chairmanship-in-office of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Turkic Council during last term, which marked very important developments with regard to the enlargement of the organization with the accession of Uzbekistan.
Minister of Transport and Road of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhanat Beyshenov and the Secretary General exchanged information on the promotion of comprehensive cooperation and strengthening transport linkages among the Member States across the Trans-Caspian International East West Middle Transport Corridor. They stressed that transport is one of the important fields among cooperation areas which is directly affecting to economic relations between the Member States.
Minister Beyshenov noted ongoing transport infrastructure projects and the role of transport facilitation in increasing trade relations with neighbor countries, which has significantly grown over the past last years. Minister mentioned and gave information regarding ongoing projects between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. He underlined importance of the check points, which will be open in a short period time which will give impetus and positive dynamics in tourism and trade between countries where border areas play an important role. Minister also stressed the road and rail transport as an important component in the Kyrgyz Uzbek relations, which can unite not only member countries, but entire region. 
Secretary General referred also to the Turkic Council Sister Ports process and invited the Kyrgyz side to include its dry ports to this process, which was received by the Minister Beyshenov with great satisfaction.
Parties also expressed their readiness to work in the field of aviation and on the opening of the flight between of Istanbul - Osh which will further support the development in the field of tourism between our member states.
