Secretary General had in Bishkek meetings with the Speaker of Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) Dastanbek Zhumagulov, First Vice Prime Minister Zhenish Razakov, Minister of Economy Oleg Pankratov, Minister of Transport and Roads Zhamshitbek Kalilov, Minister of Education and Science Gulmira Kudayberdiyeva, and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dinara Kemelova.
During the meeting with the Speaker of Parliament Dastanbek Zhumagulov the Parties discussed various issues related to the involvement of Kyrgyzstan in the activities of the Turkic Council in its current capacity as the Chair-in-Office of the Organization. They underlined the need to increase the capacity of the Member States within the framework of the Turkic Council based on principles of common interest and cultural affinity. The Speaker and the Secretary General stressed the importance of interparliamentary relations, and the discussed activities of TURKPA.
In the meeting with First Vice Prime Minister Razakov Parties elaborated on the need to develop the economic potential of Turkic Council Member States. They also exchanged views over the prospective reform and optimization of the Turkic cooperation institutions , discussed the planned upcoming ministerial meetings that would be held in Bishkek. The parties made evaluations on the establishment of Turkic financial institutions and associations to represent various professional collaborations of the Turkic states.
The broader political picture that concerns the Turkic Council were discussed with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kemelova. Parties also reviewed the theme and date of the next Summit of the Turkic Council. They agreed to continue efforts to organize events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birthday of a well-known writer Chingiz Aitmatov. Parties further elaborated on the development of cooperation within the tourism sector with a special reference to the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package
During the talks with Minister of Transport and Roads J Kalilov, Parties talked about the efforts being undertaken in the country to develop domestic cross-border and air transport linkages. They also exchanged views on significant regional initiatives in the field of transport and Kyrgyzstan’s prospective inclusion in the mentioned initiatives.
At the meeting with Minister of Education and Science G. Kudayberdiyeva, Parties reviewed the details of the next ministerial meeting of TC for education and updated on the latest developments of the Common textbooks on the Turkic History and Geography. They also diacussed the activities carried out within the Turkic University Union with a special reference to the Orkhun Exchange Program.
During the meeting with Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov, Secretary General B. Amreyev the Parties discussed the activities of the Organization in the field of economy and reviewed the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of ministers of Economy of TC member states that was held in Bishkek on 16-17 October.
After the ministerial meeting Minister Pankratov and Secretary General Amreyev held a joint press conference where they informed the local media outlets on the outcomes of the ministerial meeting.
