Secretary General of the Turkic Council is on a working visit to Bishkek.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E. Baghdad Amreyev started his working visit to Kyrgyzstan from 23 October 2020.
In the first day of the visit, Secretary General met with the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Mr. Kanatbek Isaev.
Speaker Isayev welcomed the Secretary General to Bishkek in such an important time for the country and Jogorku Kenesh. He briefed Secretary General with the current situation in the country after the last Parliamentary elections to Jogorku Kenesh.
He stressed that all the changes in the country are been carried out in accordance with the law, priority to preserving the stability of the state, and now the new government will continue to strive to strengthen the democratic direction of Kyrgyzstan and the country will strictly abide by its international obligations and comprehensive agreements.
In addition, the Speaker has pledged that the friendly relations with the partners will be further strengthened; the rights of investors and the security of foreign nationals in the country will be protected.
Secretary General stated that Turkic Council is closely follows the developments in Kyrgyzstan and the stability of the brotherly Kyrgyz people is important for all Turkic-speaking countries. He expressed his firm belief that the country will overcome of all these obstacles within the legal framework and national legislation. He stated that the Turkic Council stands ready to extend all kinds of support to the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan in their quest for peaceful, independent development and prosperity.
B.Amreyev underlined that Kyrgyzstan, being a founding member of the Turkic Council is an important factor in the regional security of Central Asia and integration processes within the Turkic World.
The Head of the Turkic Council expressed his confidence that ongoing support and assistance of Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan to the Member States and the work of the Turkic Council and the organization will continue its contribution to the expansion of cooperation among Turkic States. 
Kanatbek Isaev stressed that since the establishment of the Turkic Council, active efforts have been made to strengthen the brotherly relations of the Turkic-speaking peoples. In this regards, Kyrgyzstan is very interested in continuing political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation among countries with the common historical roots.
Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh pointed out that through joint efforts and political will of the governments, Turkic Speaking States will be presented with new opportunities for mutually beneficial regional cooperation. 
At the same day Secretary General had a working breakfast with Ambassadors of the Turkic Council Member States accredited to Bishkek and lunch with Mr. Azizbek Madmarov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
B.Amreyev discussed with A.Madmarov and Ambassadors the current activities and pressing topics of the Turkic Council agenda and exchanged views on the current political and economic situation in Kyrgyzstan and other Turkic Council Member States, as well as the recent visits of Secretary General to Hungary and Azerbaijan and high-level meetings hold with government officials.
