Governor Vlah informed Secretary General latest developments on the political situation in Moldova and as well as the situation of the Gagauz people. Mentioning the fruitful cooperation of Gagauzia with International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), Governor expressed their willingness to enhance cooperation with the Turkic Council particularly in the areas of economy, education and culture.
Governor expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan to Gagauzia particularly in the field of culture and education by building ever-needed schools, kindergartens and cultural centers as well as hospitals.
Secretary General stated that the Organization attaches importance to the brotherly Turkic people of Gaguzia and from this perspective Turkic Council could establish closer ties with Moldova. In this vein, Secretary General Amreyev informed the Governor Vlah on the ongoing efforts for defining new forms of cooperation of third parties with the Turkic Council.
Parties also exchanged views on certain issues of regional importance.
