Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mukhtar Tileuberdi on 21 December 2019 in Nur-Sultan.
Foreign Minister and Secretary General discussed the current state of cooperation mechanisms within the framework of the Turkic Council and the ongoing efforts of the Organization in light of the outcomes of the 7th Summit, which took place on 15 October in Baku, as well as the implementation of the decisions of the Heads of State. 
Parties expressed satisfaction with the recent enlargement of the Organization and further development of relations with  non-member countries, as well as international and regional organizations.
Foreign Minister and Secretary General exchanged views on the forthcoming plans of the Turkic Council in the year of 2020 and agreed on a number of joint events aimed at strengthening cooperation among the Member States, particularly in the field of economy. 
Parties agreed in principle to hold an extraordinary meeting of Foreign Ministers in February 2020, as well as the 1st Meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Turkic Council with the participation of the Turkic Cooperation Organizations.
