Secretary General of the Turkic Council met with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev met with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Ogtay Shiraliev on 9 September 2020 in the framework of his working visit to Baku. 
The Minister welcomed the Secretary General and expressed his satisfaction with the work accomplished by the Turkic Council in order to establish successful cooperation in the field of health among the Member States in a short period, which proved the effectiveness of the coordination carried out by the Turkic Council under such difficult circumstances. 
Secretary General informed the Minister on the activities of the Turkic Council that would further and deepen cooperation among the brotherly nations in a wide range of areas. He underlined that health cooperation become new priority area for the Turkic Council Member States and praised the leading role of Azerbaijan by holding Extraordinary Summit of the Turkic Council devoted to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Parties highly evaluated the activity of the “Health Coordination Committee” headed by the Deputy Ministers, “Supply Chain Group” to provide each other medicine and medical equipment and “Health Scientific Group” for exchanging experience among medical professionals and developing vaccines.
The Minister and the Secretary General agreed furthering the current efforts in a way to develop a closer collaboration in this field.
