Secretary General of the Turkic Council received Afghan Ambassador
Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E. Baghdad Amreyev received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Turkey H.E. Amir Mohammad Ramin in Istanbul on 4 May 2021.
During the meeting, Mohammad Ramin handed over the letter of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan H.E. Mohammad Haneef Atmar addressed to the Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, containing the view of the Afghan side on the future of relations between Afghanistan and the Turkic Council and determination of Kabul to establish closer economic and cultural ties with the Organization and its Member States. 
Ambassador Mohammad Ramin pointed out that closer relations of his country with the Turkic Council would enable Afghanistan to foster cultural ties, promote education, reach better understanding and solidarity, and strengthen trade and economic relations with the wider Turkic World.
Secretary General Amreyev thanked the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan H.E. Mohammad Haneef Atmar for his kind letter and expressed appreciation for the desire of the Afghan side for a closer relationship with the Turkic World and Turkic Council Member States. 
Emphasizing the existing cooperation potential between Afghanistan and the Turkic Council Member and Observer States in various fields, Secretary General expressed his confidence in the considerable development of all kinds of collaboration between the Turkic Council and Afghanistan in the upcoming period.
