Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev participated in the opening ceremony of the Shusha Global Media Forum on the theme "New Media in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution" on 21 July 2023.

After a short welcoming speech by the President of Azerbaijan Aliyev at the opening of the Forum, on the initiative of the President, interactive discussions began in the format of questions and answers, where the head of state answered questions from media representatives, news agencies and bloggers about the post-war situation in the region after Azerbaijan's victory in the Second Karabakh War, in particular, about the establishment of peace and restoration work carried out by the Azerbaijani government in the region, and also shared the economic potential of Karabakh and Azerbaijan as a whole.

The President paid special attention to the role of both traditional and social media platforms on public opinion and the promotion of Azerbaijan's constructive position on the Karabakh issue, as well as stressed the importance of the media and their responsibility in spreading disinformation and fighting fake news.
