The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreyev within his working trip to the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the new buildings of the Turkic Academy on February 21, 2022.
The President of the Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali extended his congratulations on the occasion of the Secretary General’s being recently awarded the “Halyqtynq suiktisi” (“Beloved by the People)” Social Prize.
During the meeting Mr. Kydyrali reported on the Academy’s activities, ongoing projects and plans.
B. Amreyev praised the Turkic Academy’s researches and creative work.
Having emphasized the importance of the OTS Foreign Ministers’ online meeting of 11 January 2022 in connection with the situation in Kazakhstan, the sides exchanged views on relevant issues for the Turkic world and discussed a number of events to be held in the first half of 2022, including the preparation for the meeting of the OTS Coordinating Committee as well as the next meeting of the OTS Foreign Ministers Council.
In addition, B. Amreyev congratulated the Turkic Academy on unveiling its new buildings as well as D.Kydyrali on his being awarded the title of Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and wished the Academy new achievements.
In his turn, D. Kydyrali presented the "Atlas of the Turkic World" book to the Secretary General.
