The Sixth Meeting of the Working Group on Cooperation in Media and Information sphere of Turkic Council was kicked off in Istanbul on 27April 2017. Representatives of the national TV channels, news agencies and relevant State authorities of the Member States were present at the meeting.
During the meeting the parties discussed the Plan of Events on development of cooperation in the sphere of information and media among the Member States, including the organization of educational courses and exchange programs among the Member States. They also exchanged their views on conceptual sides of the establishment mechanism of joint Turkic channel.
The meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary General of Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman, was also attended by Project Directors Yedil Myrzakhanov, Yıldız Uzakova, Ceyhun Şahverdiyev and Advisor to the Secretary General Reşad Kasımov.
