During the tenure of President Nazarbayev, the social and cultural cohesion in Kazakhstan increased. Due to the positive developments in economy, Kazakhstan became one of the most important economic and energy hubs of the region.
As the leader of Nation, President Nazarbayev promoted peaceful coexistence and cooperation with neighboring states and beyond, also increased the role of Kazakhstan in international arena. Due to well-thought-of policies, Kazakhstan currently known as a prosperous and peace-loving state around the world.
Kazakhstan, by giving up its nuclear arsenal reaffirmed its commitment in strengthening international security, developing cooperation between states and enhancing the role of international organizations in resolving the global problems and conflicts.
During the leadership of President Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan has extensive experience in holding international events at the highest level. In this regard, Summits of the OSCE, OIC, SCO, CIS, Turkic Council, and other international meetings such as the Astana Peace Process were hosted by Kazakhstan, which is a sign that Kazakhstan has been a stable and reliable platform for various kinds of world-class events.
Moreover, the election of Kazakhstan as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2017-2019 term definitely proves the confidence of the whole world in the peacekeeping activities of Kazakhstan.
President Nazarbayev, as the leader of the Turkic World, made an inestimable contribution in the endeavors of uniting the Turkic World. Indeed, the Turkic Council is the brainchild of the President Nazarbayev.
At the Summit of the Heads of Turkic-Speaking States in 2006, President Nazarbayev proposed the creation of an international organization called the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council). H.E Nursultan Nazarbayev had participated in all 15 Head of States Summits since 1992 and also became the generator of the ideas for many projects of the Turkic Council.
Currently, Kazakhstan is hosting Turkic Academy and playing important role in promoting especially the historical and cultural projects within Turkic World.
In his recent article, “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” President Nazarbayev has proposed a number of projects as a part of Rukhani Zhangyru, which is fundamental to Kazakhstan’s prospective outlook for the world and to the future vision of the Turkic World.
In addition, adoption of the new version Latin-based Kazakh alphabet will also contribute to the interaction among the Turkic States.
The efforts of the Great Leader Nursultan Nazarbayev will always be remembered with deep respect and gratitude not only by the Kazakh people but also in the Turkic World.
