The 12th Meeting of Turkic Council Working Group on Tourism is started in Almaty on 7 June 2018.
The 12th Meeting of the Turkic Council Working Group on Tourism with the theme of strengthening tourism along the Silk Road has started in Almaty.

The meeting, which will last for two days, is moderated by the Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman. The first day of the meeting is attended by Mr. Rıza Kağan Yilmaz,, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty, representatives from the Ministries of the Turkic Council member states as well as the tour operators which are members of the Working Group.
During the opening speech, Dr. Ömer Kocaman conveyed information to the participants regarding the steps taken by the Secretariat during preparation, implementation and promotion process of the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package project, which is developed according to the instructions of the Heads of Member States of the Turkic Council during its Bodrum Summit in 2014. Noting the Joint Tour Package as a historic project, Dr. Kocaman thanked the tourism ministries and authorities of the Member States for their support.
In the continuation of the program, it was unanimously approved that “Dünya Değişmeden and H.İ.S” partnership will take place in the consortium as the coordinator representing Turkey.
The road map for the promotion of the Joint Tour Package, which covers the rich historical heritage of the Turkic States on the Silk Road, regarding its promotion in the Turkic geography and world markets, has been thoroughly discussed on the first day of the meeting.
The members of the foreign and local press in Kazakhstan showed great interest to the meeting, and have done interviews with the Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General and other representatives of delegation about the Joint Tour Package.
The first day of the meeting was ended with a family photo.

Deputy Secretary General Kocaman was accompanied by Project Directors Pelin Musabay Baki, Yıldız Uzakova, Ferid Demirli and Research Expert Dastan Almen during the meeting.
