The 3rd General Assembly of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) convened in Istanbul
The 3rd General Assembly of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) convened on 10 November 2021 in Istanbul.
The meeting was jointly hosted by the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and President of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Mr.Baghdad Amreyev and attended by President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organization of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), Mr. Mammad Musayev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Adham Ikramov, First Vice-Chairman of the Board of Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, Nariman Abilshaikov, First Senior Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Roman Kasymov and CEO of Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, Dr. Kristof Szabo.
In his welcoming address, the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and President of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the development and enrichment of a strong private sector requires a strong exchange trading system and expressed the ready of TOBB to share their experiences in this field.
TOBB and TCCI President also stressed the need to diversify and develop the economic structure of the Turkic States, that is necessary for the development of entrepreneurship.
Highlighting the economic potential of the Turkic region, R.Hisarcıklıoglu encouraged the countries to take measures on facilitation trade among the Member States and called for expanding trade and logistic volume by offering competitive prices.
Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, in his speech, expressed the essential role of business communities and private sector in encouraging and promoting economic growth. 
B. Amreyev welcomed the new initiatives of TCCI on establishing of young and women entrepreneurs’ platforms under the TCCI, that will contribute to economic development of our countries through creating employment opportunities and promoting new formation of businesses with high potential for growth. 
He underlined that the granting the new Legal Status to the TCCI will have the Chamber to start functioning as a full-fledged international mechanism. 
Secretary General also touched upon the issue of finalization of the Feasibility Study (FS) of the Turkic Investment Fund by the support of the Member States and “Ernst and Young” and commencement of negotiations on the draft “Establishing Agreement of the Fund”, that will promote intra-regional trade and provide additional support for the SMEs in the Member States. 
Stressing the significance of the signing “Memorandum of Understanding on establishing cooperation among Special Economic Zones of the Member States” by the Ministers in charge of Economy of the Turkic Council recently in Baku, B.Amreyev underscored that it will open a new long-¬term multilateral cooperation mechanism to strengthen intra-regional investments and expand manufacture, trade in goods and services. Secretary General proposed to TCCI to undertake joint efforts and concrete activities to develop close collaboration among the various types of economic zones established in the territories of our countries. 
During the meeting, the Heads of the business communities of the Member and Observer States also exchanged information on the current state of activities, provided recommendations on strengthening further cooperation within TCCI and between businesses communities, as well as SME development. It was highly appreciated the efforts of each TCCI members for their valuable proposals and involvements in strengthening the role of the organization. 
The Parties voiced the need to establishing electronic platform between the business communities of the TCCI Members and collaborate on creating digital ecosystems.
Secretary General of TCCI, Mr. Adem Kula presented to the participants the activities of Turkic Chamber and briefed on latest developments with regard to granting a legal status to the TCCI and the physical establishment of the Secretariat in Turkey.
Turkic Council Secretariat invited the TCCI member organizations to support the initiatives of establishment “Turkic Trade Houses”, as a new mechanism to encourage mutual trade, investments and entrepreneurship among the Member countries. The Parties welcomed this initiative and proposed to launch working group to drafting the feasibility study and action plan of further activities on realizing this project.
