The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev received the Ambassador of Montenegro to Ankara H.E. Periša Kastratović and the Consul General of Montenegro to Istanbul Mr. Branislav Karadžić on 25 November 2022.
Ambassador Kastratović and Consul General Pinter congratulated H.E. Omuraliev on his appointment to the post of Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and expressing the added value that would bring his long diplomatic experience to developing cooperative ties between the Turkic States, wished Secretary General success during his term in office.
At the meeting, the Parties discussed the outcomes of the Samarkand Summit, steps taken for a more institutionalized structure of Turkic cooperation and the increasing role that the OTS has been given in recent years, and exchanged views about the possible means of joint cooperation between Montenegro and the Organization in the upcoming period.
