Upon invitation of H.E. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders (CoE) of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held on 11-12 March 2024 in Ashgabat.
At the first CoE meeting held in an Observer State, Members of the CoE discussed the outcomes of the Astana Summit of the OTS convened with the motto of “TURK TIME” on 3 November 2023, as well as elaborated on various areas of cooperation undertaken within the framework of the Organization.
Moreover, Secretary General informed the Council about the realization of their recommendations put forth in their last meeting held in Samarkand in October 2023.
At the end of the meeting, CoE adopted the Communique on the outcomes of its 15th meeting held in Ashgabat.
The Council decided to convene its 16th meeting in Budapest, Hungary.
