The Culture Festival related to the 2nd World Nomad Games, which is organized upon the decision taken at the 5th Summit of Heads of States of the Turkic Council and hosted by the Kyrgyz Republic between 3-8 September 2016 in Cholpan-Ata, was held on 4 September 2016 at Kyrchyn Plateau.
The Festival where the traditional nomadic life was presented with all its aspects as well as various stage shows that included elements of our common history and culture was performed, was held with participation of high level guests, Heads of States and Governments as well as with intense participation of the Kyrgyz people.
Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman participated in the Culture Festival together with the Turkic Council Delegation comprising Project Directors Zamin Aliyev, Ali Çiviler, Yıldız Uzakova and Research Expert Dastan Almen.
Within the framework of the Culture Festival, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International Sports Security Center (ICSS), which is one of the international partners of the Turkic Council, and the World Ethnosport Confederation. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhenis Razakov was also present during the signing ceremony.
A comprehensive introductory film about the Second World Nomad Games is being prepared by the ICSS Media team currently in Issyk Kul. The Film will be presented and shown during the international sports events and meetings to promote the Nomad Games and our common culture to the world.
