As a further visit within the context of reviving the historical Silk Road through enhancement of customs cooperation, the delegation of Turkic Council consisting of customs officials of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey visited the Altynkul Logistics Center and Khorgoz Free Trade Zone located in the Kazakh-Chinese border on 29 September 2016.
The delegation examined various facilities established within the logistics center project including the railway and road transportation infrastructures in the area and was briefed by competent Kazakh officials on the procedures conducted in mentioned facilities.
The delegation also visited and was briefed on the business and investment opportunities offered by the Khorgoz Free Trade Zone project.
The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Farid Damirli and Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek, Project Directors of the Turkic Council Secretariat.
