The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev received the the Deputy Minister of Diaspora Affairs of Azerbaijan Valeh Haciyev on 28 November 2022.
At the meeting Deputy Minister Haciyev congratulated H.E. Omuraliyev for his appointment to the post of Secretary General of the Organization by Heads of State at the OTS Summit in Samarkand held on 11 November 2022 and wished him success during his term in office. The Deputy Minister also reiterated the continuous commitment of Azerbaijan for the multilateral cooperation under the OTS.
Secretary General expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s active role and involvement in the Organization.
Moreover, Parties discussed the outcomes of the Samarkand Summit, made evaluations about the Turkic cooperation within the framework of the Organization considering the developments taking place in the region surrounding the OTS countries, and exchanged views about the joint initiatives to be realized in the field of Disapora in the upcoming period in Azerbaijan.
