The "e-Permit" system will be launched between Uzbekistan and Turkey within the framework of the Turkic Council

The meeting of Turkish-Uzbek Working Group on "e-Permit" was held on 30 June 2021 in Tashkent to discuss technical aspects of the implementation of the "e-Permit" system, aimed at the digitalization of permits for the transportation of goods.

The bilateral Working Group on "e-Permit" was created with the aim of implementing the initiative within the framework of the Turkic Council and included specialists and IT experts from the ministries of transport and customs departments of the two countries.

During the meeting of the Working Group, held on the margins of the framework of the Uzbek-Turkish Joint Commission on Transport, the Parties discussed in detail technical issues related to the implementation of the "e-Permit" system and  agreed on further steps to launch the project until September 2021.

In his welcoming speech, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Mirvohid Azimov noted the importance of digitalization of transport operations and customs procedures in simplifying and accelerating the international transportation of goods and increasing the flow of goods among the Member States. He also emphasized that the project will be expanded in the future by involving the other Member States of the Turkic Council.
