The Fourth Meeting of the Turkic Council Ministers of Education was hosted by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aslan Sarinzhipov on 5 September 2015 in Astana.
The Deputy Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Firudin Gurbanov, The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Adilet Bekboev, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Education of Turkey Yusuf Tekin, the President of the International Turkic Academy Prof. Dr. Darhan Kydyrali and the Kazakh member of Council of Elders Adil Akhmetov participated meeting moderated by the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov.
After the opening speech Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Secretary General Ramil Hasanov took the floor.
In his speech Hasanov celebrated the 550 anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate and gave comprehensive information about the topics on the agenda of the Ministerial Meeting.
Specifying that studies carried out in the field of education are valuable investment in the future, the Secretary General thanked the Ministers and the delegations for their contributions.
He also said that the decisions taken at the meeting will be submitted to the Presidents at the 5th Summit of the Turkic Council to take place in Astana on 10-11 September 2015.
The Ministers of Education approved the Common Turkic History Textbook covering the period until the 15th century prepared by the International Turkic Academy in collaboration with the experts of the Turkic Council Member States.
At the course of the meeting, the parties have reached a consensus regarding the procedures in preparing the Common Turkic History Textbook covering the period from 15th up to 21st century.
The sides also agreed on the methods of the ongoing studies of the Academy over drafts of the Common History and Geography Textbooks.
The Ministers aslo approved the Regulation for the Student Exchange Program among the Secondary/High School student of the Turkic Council Member States, the first one to be carried out by the Ministry of National Education of Turkey in 2016.
In addition, it was decided to initiate preparation studies for the Sister School Project in the framework of the Turkic Council.
The issue of improving relations between the International Turkic Academy and Turkic University Union were also discussed at the meeting.
The Agreed Minutes were signed by the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov in the presence of journalists at the end of the meeting.
After posing for the family photo, the ceremony of gift exchange ceremony took place.
After the said ceremony the parties proceeded to the official luncheon hosted by the Kazakh Minister.
It was decided that the next Meeting of Ministers of Education will be held in Kyrgyzstan.
The Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov was accompanied by the Project Directors Zhyldyz Uzakova, Zamin Aliyev, Asan Mazhitov ve Pelin Musabay Baki, as well as the Head of Protocol Emre Yurdakul.
