The Governor of Istanbul Mr. Ali Yerlikaya visited the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev on 29 May 2023 at the premises of the OTS Secretariat in Istanbul.

During the visit, Secretary General Omuraliev expressed his appreciation for continuous support and assistance provided to the OTS by the host country Turkiye. In particular, he stressed the essential role of the Government of Türkiye in deepening the ties among the Turkic States.

The Governor Yerlikaya mentioned that the OTS plays a crucial role in increasing solidarity and brotherhood in the Turkic world and presents a valuable platform for empowering the collaboration among OTS Member States and Observers. He also expressed the necessity to intensify joint efforts to strengthen cooperation in such important areas as economy, education, tourism, youth and people-to-people communication.
