The Heads of Turkic Council and World Ethnosport Confederation held talks
Turkic Council Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev met with the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC) Bilal Erdoğan on 22 March 2021 in Istanbul. 

Secretary General and  the President of WEC discussed the upcoming Informal Summit of the Turkic Council which is planned to be held on 31 March and the decision to announce the city of Turkistan as the Spiritual capital of the Turkic world, as well as the official Summit of the Turkic Council which will be held in the fall of 2021 in Istanbul. 

Expressing his gratitude to the WEC President for its active participation in the organization of the Fourth World Nomad Games, scheduled in Iznik, Bursa, Turkey, Secretary General Amreyev emphasized the importance of the upcoming event, which will significantly contribute to the popularization of the great cultural Turkic heritage in the world.

Noting the tangible results of the work of the Secretariat of the Turkic Council, WEC President Bilal Erdogan stated that the Turkic Council’s role has become rather intensified in contributing to the solidarity and deepening relations among the Turkic Speaking countries. 

He pointed out that WEC is in close cooperation with the Secretariat for the organization of the World Nomad Games and expressed his belief that World Nomad Games would increase its visibility in the international arena. 

During the meeting parties also discussed the issues on cooperation opportunities, major developments on regional and international agenda, preparations for the Summit in Istanbul as well as their joint efforts for development of cooperation within the youth and sport sectors by organizing various events and projects.
