The meeting entitled “Turkic Council and Cooperation in Eurasia in the Light of Developments across the Region” , organized with the collaboration of Turkic Council, SAM (Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey) and AVİM (Center for Eurasian Studies) has been kicked off on 24 February 2015 at JW Marriott Hotel in Ankara.
The meeting where ambassadors, academics, representatives of relevant think thanks and presidents of official research institutes of the Turkic Council’s Member States were invited constitutes the first event of the Turkic Council organized in this format.
Furthermore, the introductory film of the Turkic Council, of which the preparation was recently concluded, was shared with the public opinion for the first time at the said meeting.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov and Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ambassador Ali Kemal Aydın addressed to the participants at the opening ceremony of the meeting that was open to the press.
Following the speeches of President of SAM Prof. Dr. Ali Resul Usul, President of AVİM Rtd. Ambassador Alev Kılıç and the presentation of Rtd. Halil Akıncı, Former Secretary General of the Turkic Council, the event will be ending with an official lunch.
Project Directors Pelin Musabay Baki and Assan Mazhitov as well as Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul have been accompanying Secretary General Ambassador Hasanov in this meeting.
