The event was attended by H.E. Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of the Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the Turkic Council, H.E. Ramiz Hasanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) & Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), Mr. Ablay Myrzahhmetov, Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, (ATAMEKEN), Mr. Marat Sharshekeev, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Adham Ikramov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Ziyaeddin Kassanov, President of World Association of Meskhetian Turks (DATÜB), Mr. Ömer Kocaman and Gismat Gozalov, Deputies Secretary General of Turkic Council. The Ambassadors of Member States to Azerbaijan, high-level officials from the Ministries, government officials and representatives of private sector also participated in the meeting.
During the special session on “Supporting Azerbaijan”, the presentation was made on the theme of “A New Era of Social and Economic Development of Azerbaijan” and representatives of the Turkic Business World exchanged their views on this subject.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev emphasized in his speech that deepening the economic cooperation among the Member States has always been the main priority of the Turkic Council since its establishment.
B. Amreyev stated that the Secretariat works actively to increase cooperation among the TCCI member countries by providing a favorable platform for business communities, conducting business forums and implementing mutually beneficial projects and initiatives.
The Secretary General pointed out that through this meeting, Turkic Business Communities demonstrated their solidarity with Azerbaijan in its rightful position in Nagorno-Karabakh issue and further support for the reconstruction and development of the freed lands of Azerbaijan.
President of TOBB & Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech condemned the attacks of Armenia on Azerbaijani civilian settlements. R.Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the occupation of the Azerbaijani territories by Armenian armed forces never be accepted and emphasized his strong support of Turkic business communities to Azerbaijan in this just cause.
Reminding that the member states of the Turkic Council have a young population of more than 150 million and a national income of 1.5 trillion dollars, Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu, said that the Turkic world, with its natural resources, has become an important economic power in its geography and this advantage should be utilized effectively and expertly.
Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan H.E. Mikayil Jabbarov conveyed his appreciation of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the business communities of the Turkic world for their support to Azerbaijan people.
Minister invited the business people of the Turkic world to examine the investment opportunities, particularly in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from the occupation.
In his speech, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan H.E. Ramiz Hasanov expressed his gratitude to the Turkic Council for the special statements made by the Secretary-General supporting the legitimate position of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
He also thanked the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the business communities of the Turkic World for their solidarity with Azerbaijan and valuable contribution to the development of the destroyed settlements liberated from Armenian occupation.
Following this meeting of Turkic Chamber of Commerce and industry heads of participating delegations attended the departure ceremony of the relief supply truck that was organized with the participation of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Mrs.Ganira Pashayeva and other officials.
The truck carrying humanitarian assistance including supplies and food was sent to the civilian population living in the front-line city of Barda, which has been affected by the attack of Armenia, as the support of the Turkic Business communities.
